Literature connection: Alma and How She Got Her Name
Share this book with the class to inspire a conversation about our names and their origin. There is a version in Spanish available too!
For 2nd-4th grade, this can turn into a research assignment that can help reinforce students’ identity and cultural pride.
Did you try it with your class? Let us know how it went!
